Terms and Conditions

Booking:

  1. Upon booking your holiday we require either payment in full; or a deposit of £100 for our Holiday Homes or £50 for a touring pitch.
  2. Any balance due must be paid a minimum of 60 days before the start date of your holiday. Failure to pay your holiday balance, in full and on time, will result in the loss of your deposit, and the holiday being placed back on sale.
  3. If you subsequently need to cancel your holiday this will result in the loss of any monies paid. Please consider taking out holiday insurance in case of unexpected illness etc.

Holiday Homes:

  1. Arrival time is from 4pm onwards. This allows us time to service your Holiday Home and to maintain our high standards of cleanliness.
  2. ******Please be aware that you will be unable to access your accommodation before 4pm, so please plan your journey accordingly. ******
  3. We ask that you do not arrive after 9pm unless with our prior agreement. This helps avoid unnecessary noise and disruption to guests who may be sleeping. 
  4. We ask that you vacate your Holiday Home by 10am at latest on your morning of departure. This is to allow time for the accommodation to be properly serviced and checked for the arrival of the next guests. Failure to do so may result in a late departure charge of £50.
  5. We do not provide bed linen other than quilts and pillows. It is a requirement of your stay that full bedding (bottom sheets, quilt covers and pillow cases) is used for the full duration of your stay.
  6. Please also remember to bring towels and tea towels.
  7. We provide clothes airers in all of our Holiday Homes. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer in the kitchen on the Touring Field. These take £1 coins and 20p pieces.
  8. Your Holiday Home must be left as you found it, in a clean and tidy condition. All rubbish must be securely bagged and placed in the appropriate bin. If any deep cleaning is needed we reserve the right to levy a £50 charge for this.
  9. Should you accidentally damage or break anything during your stay please let us know ASAP. We may ask you to pay for damage that exceeds fair wear and tear.
  10. All of our Holiday Homes are non smoking.
  11. We allow well behaved dogs in selected  Holiday Homes. They must bring their own bedding and are not to be allowed on uncovered furniture; or in the bedrooms at anytime.
  12. Dogs must be kept under strict control at all times and on a lead when being outside your Holiday Home.
  13. All mess must be cleared up immediately and disposed of in a bin.
  14. Please remember that many people, especially children, are scared of, or allergic to, dogs, and be mindful of this whenever you are outside your Holiday Home.
  15. We love dogs here at Poldown, but please remember that “2 woofs is enough”, and be considerate to other guests desire for peace and quiet, particularly before 9am and after 9pm.
  16. Dogs must not be left unattended and/or unsupervised at anytime, Including while inside your Holiday Home.
  17. Please do not use Barbecues on the wooden decking area. They may be used on the grass or gravel areas as long as they are raised by a minimum of 6 inches.

Caravans, Motorhomes and Camping:

  1. Arrival times are from 2pm onwards. This gives us time to mow and service your pitch before your arrival.
  2. Please note that you will be unable to pitch up before 2pm and there is no ‘overflow space’ so please plan your journey accordingly.
  3. We ask that you vacate your pitch by NO LATER than 10am on your morning of departure. This allows us time to service the pitch before the next arriving guest.
  4. We realise that ‘packing up’ can take longer than expected, and respectfully ask you to consider this when planning your departure. Late departures may incur a charge.
  5. All pitches have hard standings. We also have 4 additional,  clearly marked, parking spaces around the entrance to the Touring Field. We ask that the grass is reserved for only tents, gazebos and awnings etc. Caravans, Motorhomes and cars must be parked in either your hard standing, or in a parking space; never on the grass.
  6. Our Touring Pitches are designed for family units and couples only.
  7. We class a family unit as immediate and related family members only. I.E. Parents and their children.
  8. If your booking falls outside of this definition; eg, your adult child’s partner, and/or children etc, or 2 adult couples, then we will require you to book 2 pitches.
  9. We do not allow multiple families to ‘share’ a single pitch, you must each book your own pitch. The maximum amount of persons allowed on a pitch is 6.
  10. When booking and paying for a ‘Small Tent’ as an extra this tent is intended for cooking in or for a named person in your party to sleep in only. It must not be used as another ‘accommodation’ for another family or adult couple. It must be of a maximum size or approximately 7 feet by 4 feet. All pitches are limited to only 1 electric hook up.
  11. Dogs must be kept under strict control at all times.
  12. Please keep your dog on a lead when not inside your accommodation.
  13. Remember, many people, particularly children, are frightened of dogs, so please be considerate of other guests at all times.
  14. Please clean up after your dog immediately and dispose of the mess in one of our bins.
  15. Finally, we love dogs here at Poldown but please remember that “2 woofs is enough”.

General: 

  1. Children must be supervised at all times and are the sole responsibility of their parents. Please do not allow your children to roam the site unsupervised at anytime.
  2. Only persons listed on your booking form are allowed on site, unless with the prior agreement of the owners. Day visitors are allowed but we need their names  in advance.
  3. As we are a family site we are best suited to families and couple. We are unable to accept groups of young people or large single sex parties.
  4. Please show consideration to your fellow guests and ensure that unnecessary noise is kept to a minimum before 9am and after 9pm. Televisions and music etc must be kept to a suitable volume, so as to not disturb other guests. 
  5. We reserve the right to refuse and refund in full any booking prior to commencement of a holiday.
  6. We reserve the right to terminate a holiday early at our sole discretion should our terms and conditions not be adhered to, once agreed to at the time of placing your booking. It is your responsibility to read these Terms and Conditions before booking.
  7. We reserve the right to enter Holiday Homes for purposes of maintenance, servicing and inspection as well as in emergencies. Wherever possible we will give appropriate notice.
  8. Our pricing structure and policy’s may vary during the season and we may apply promotional offers from time to time. Your booking is based on the price quoted and agreed to at the time of your initial booking, and cannot be amended retrospectively.
  9. We disclaim all liability for loss or damage to your personal property, vehicles and cash while on the site.
  10. We cannot be held liable for personal injury, however this may occur.
  11. We require you to use all facilities responsibly and if necessary with the appropriate  supervision. 
  12. Beyond providing a full refund, we cannot be held responsible for the unexpected unavailability of accommodation. due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
